Intervision

Developing with self-reflection

Discover our successful intervision approach, specially designed for in-company (management) teams aiming for better performance and increased efficiency. We also offer specific intervision sessions for individuals with similar roles but from different organizations.

Intervision is a valuable tool for professional development through reflection. Each session focuses on a case from your own practice or that of a colleague, challenging you to examine your own behavior, thoughts, and feelings. It reveals the deeper layers of your motives, norms, values, and professional behavior.

Our experienced intervisors lead each session and encourage participants to ask the right questions. These questions promote inner dialogue and lead to new insights into your thought patterns and actions. By exchanging thoughts and ideas and reflecting on each other, you can integrate these new insights into practice.

Each session focuses on one specific case. Before the session, the intervisor discusses the case with the contributor and selects the intervision method that best fits. Thanks to our extensive experience with various intervision methods, we can tailor the approach to the issue and the personal preference of the contributor. We can also address specific themes relevant to everyone during the intervision sessions.

Intervision

Intervision of directors (special NVZD)

For executives, often working in solitary roles, peer consultation meetings (intervision) are invaluable. Here, you have the opportunity to share knowledge, experiences, and dilemmas, and to be mirrored by peers. Each session revolves around a case from your practice or a central theme relevant to everyone. During these sessions, you reflect on your own behavior, thoughts, and feelings, gaining insight into your motives, norms, values, and professional actions.

Our intervision approach is versatile, employing various methods based on the needs and preferences of the case presenter. Our experienced intervision facilitators challenge participants to ask the right questions, fostering a deep dialogue with themselves and gaining new insights into their managerial thinking and actions. All of this takes place in a safe environment where you can learn from each other's experiences and thoughts.

Accreditation NVZD

The intervision groups facilitated by Thaeles meet the high standard set by the NVZD for external facilitators. Your participation fits within the accreditation process. However, NVZD accreditation is not a requirement to participate in the intervision. If you, as an executive, seek the opportunity to exchange with peers and reflect on your own performance, you are welcome to join.

Registration

If you want to participate or need more information, please contact us at info@thaeles.nl or call us at 077 - 465 07 85. We are happy to schedule an individual introductory meeting to discuss your expectations and possibilities. When forming intervision groups, we consider various factors, such as mutual familiarity, diversity, and regional distribution.

Practical Information

  • An intervision group consists of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 7 participants. Each intervision group is guided by a dedicated facilitator from Thaeles.
  • We organize approximately 6 sessions per year at a fixed location.
  • Our intervision groups are active in Limburg, South-East Brabant, and Utrecht. When forming a new group, a central location for participating executives is sought.

Experiences

Experiences of some executives:

  • "I consider the intervision group as a valuable source of knowledge and experience. In complete safety, we discuss strategic themes and dilemmas, exchanging questions and experiences. I have been a participant for over 5 years now, and every session has added value so far."

  • "The facilitator uses well-explained rules that ensure the quality of the meeting and prevent us from drifting into less relevant topics."

  • "Esther guides us in a pleasant way, sharp, honest, and direct. She does not hesitate to stimulate, but always with respect for the individual and maintaining everyone's value."

In-company intervision

Perhaps the communication or collaboration within a team or department is not optimal or you feel that more can be achieved. Our intervision approach is a great step towards improving this. Accessible and always focused on improvements that can be applied in practice tomorrow.

Together with the team and participants, we look at where exactly the bottlenecks lie and we prefer to connect the intervision with the existing practice of, for example, work consultations, team sessions and bilats in order to take new steps. We do this based on observations by experienced intervisors (fly on the wall) to see what is going on and to map the situation. And based on reflection so that situations can be identified and addressed immediately.
